I nearly choke on my own tongue, and the sound that comes out is somewhere between a gasp and a squeak. Malachi's smile stretches wider. He's enjoying my reaction way too much.

“It’s funny,” Malachi says.
“It is in no way funny!”
“Look at how scared they are. It’s kinda funny.”

need to find out how old malachi is cause i don't remember, but i clearly remember haylee is 17 so all this flirting they're doing is very weird 😭😭😭
