The story seems a bit simplistic and the major turning point for the motivation of the lead character was sort of a anticlimactic event.

At the time, Beltane felt like the beginning, not the end. A moment when everything faded to Galehaut.

Also Aunt Morgan is weird BUT just because she’s a witch, idk why I have sympathy for her

GALEHAUT BETTER STILL BE ALIVE !! And idk why I initially thought Arthur was going to be a silver fox -- most mythology retellings of him show that him and Lancelot are the same age LOL
