I love terrible female characters who suffer and ruin their relationships and destroy every good thing they had going in a moment of desperation and can’t take it back. I need 500 books like this ASAP. “oh but theyre bad influences!” Not to me, I’m mentally sound and wouldn’t Cain and Abel someone for not including me. Holy crap. I can imagine this from Madsen’s POV, snd it all makes so much sense. But also, Nan is so hellbent on herself being the murderer, as realistic as the theory sounds, we have to believe our narrator. She’s given us no other options. She did all that

Rest in peace to every other thriller on my TBR. I am enraptured. I feel like I need to reread this book a few times in order for it all to click. Something shout the setting, the tension, snd the fear of the unknown reminds me of the books thst got me into thrillers in the first place. Those books were meant for younger audiences and don’t hold up as well, but this? Thriller gold.

I don’t even have words for how this book scratches my brain. Some parts of the prose are vague and misleading, but that’s the point. We’re hearing this all unfold from the POV of a killer who clearly isnt well and it’s so good

Not with Kill Creatures. I have not been able to put this down since I picked it up. It’s written in this dreamy, trippy way, and the plot summary only goes up to the second-ish chapter, so I’ve been totally enraptured by Nan’s descent into madness. Not to jinx it but this might become a favorite
