as soon as i read “it was firing into the room where megan had been.”, my jaw fucking DROPPED. HOLY. i fully agree with david, she is brilliant—the most awesome, most clever, most incredible person ever. god i love the way sanderson writes. that was mythical. like i knew she wouldn’t die but he had me believing it would be profs dealing, DEFINITELY not planned suicide by a gun setup.

i literally had to come back here because of what regalia told david about having “spoke too freely when punishing newton”. dang i don’t know how i missed that—regalia is not one to throw compliments around and she was THROWING those. AND it made newton pause and stop hunting david.

omfg david is CRAZY. he’s literally.. wow. i don’t even know what to say, he’s so fucking smart ?! i genuinely don’t know how he figured that out. but i can’t even describe the shock and confusion i felt when he first said “you’re beautiful, newton.” i wonder what she’d been told in the past to make her fear it, or how long she’d been waiting for someone to tell her anything along those lines.

this scene shouldn’t have surprised me but it really did.. i don’t know why i didn’t expect brandon to write newton delivering such a punishment.

fuck i knew brandon couldn’t let david become an epic. i am just so impressed and proud that he managed to fight the impossible so easily and spit it in regalia’s face. i was curious to see what his powers would’ve been.. the next book is called calamity though. let’s hope david isn’t forced to find out.

regalia makes me sick. but damn, she thought this through. and no one is surprised that david was right about this creepy ass city all along. she’s genuinely insane.

it just doesn’t stop. what the fuck is prof on about.. i love how brandon writes it so that you can see it as it overtakes jon. him saying david is “destroying him” is.. wow. after chapters of saying david is just what the team needed. and dismissing david with sarcastic forgiveness and trapping him in a force field. holy.

oh fuck if i thought the last scene was bad.. the things i feel towards prof right now are so conflicting. i fully understand why he was suspicious and why he and val wouldn’t want him to talk to megan. but to spy on him and only bring him on this mission to kill his only love.. i don’t know.
