The same kinds of visions recur. The same conflicts recur. After a while you think, Yes, I know—you cried loudly in church, people thought you were mad, Christ comforted you, and then you cried some more.
That repetition can feel tedious.
But then I wonder if the repetition is itself the point.
It’s an embodied spirituality that returns again and again to the same themes: longing, weeping, rejection, consolation.

She went to Jerusalem and also Rome. It’s less unhinged and more linear now, she still cries and screams when she takes communion but who doesn’t.
