Status Updates From Masked Bratva Daddy: An Age...

DNF @ 40%.

I tried to give this book a chance, having liked the first one, but I couldn't get to liking the FMC, and considering Mak was supposed to be a Bratva boss, the whole thing - as far as I got anyway - was kind of tame. I also didn't like the fact that she knew he was Andi's father and didn't want to tell him, that was just a sh*t move really.

This book has been a HUGE disappointment..
This does not read like what a Bratva king would do, react, or think.. Also, the female has gone from I like her and feel for her to, #YouJustStupidNow The threats aren't feeling like threats either. The author is trying to write in a lyrical prose about sh^t that means absolutely NOTHING. Makari & Roxy STILL have not established anything real between them.

I am jonesing for a honey cake myself now. They keep bring them up! My Mother-in-Love makes the best ones & they are truly my hubby's favorite. A true labor of love to prepare.. I've done so 3 times and it's gone in a few hrs. Chap 23 is next

I still like the book, but nothing is really happening right now for me..
The pacing is suffering a bit too.. I also kinda hate how they both, Makari and Roxy, stay in their heads more and too often, when they could be talking or connecting more. Their chemistry seemed more explosive when they didn't know each other at all, versus now that they know each other

I am so loving this story! Chapter 12 was so hilariously adorable!
Makari is so hot! Daaaayuuuum.. I'm in love with little Andi, she's so cute I wanna eat her up! Have no idea what's in store for Roxy. I'm scared for her.. Will Makari figure it out, or will Roxy tell him? Her sister Kat's still a b^tch that I would love to drag coochie first, across the dry, hot desert.. I'll begin chap 13 when I can return to it.

I am still loving this book for many reasons, except one.. Roxy must be retarded.. All these clues she's been given and she STILL does not realize who Makari really is to her?! #I'mGonnaSlapHer

Roxy's sister, K, is such a b^tch! Ugh!! I don't like people who are cruel just because they can be and are jealous.

Struggling with this read. Usually, a book this long would only take me a couple of days to get through, but I'm finding the whole thing, even this far in, is just dragging, but I'm determined...somehow...to get to the end.
