Status Updates From Prom Queen

The writing here is marginally better than the author's debut novel but it's still *rough*. So many misused words and phrases, and sentences put together so sloppily that they're little more than word salad. I'm nearly at the halfway point and so far there's not been a hint of horror, slasher, or comedy. Nothing has happened. There's not been an inciting incident, which should take place by or around the 10% mark.

For some reason the author has two author pages, with both their books listed twice, so I guess I'll be copy-pasting updates and reviews to both. Real weird thing for them to do, but whatever.

HL Crowe took zero of my original concerns about the book seriously. Several of the things I had issues with in the first rendition have not been fixed. Somehow they are worse??

Round two of this book as Crowe decided to heavily edit the book after my rather brutal review and delay publishing to this month. Thank you H.L. Crowe for the eARC of the new rendition!

What an interesting way to phrase that
