“That was something,” she mumbled several long moments later, feeling him laugh beneath her, tasting the salt from his skin on her lips.

She started walking and he stared after her, knowing the hike had nothing to do with the changes, but not sure how to feel about it. About her. Aw, fuck. He knew how he felt about her, what he didn’t know was what to do about it. How to stop it, since the feelings came with an expiration date that was going to be really damn painful. Jarek knew pain.
Swoon. 🥰💘💖

She liked him when he was broody and dark, but she liked seeing him smile, too.

I'm loving this!
Can't wait for the grovelling to start.😈
“I don’t think you mentioned Marcus, Liv.” He stepped close so suddenly she barely saw him move. Instinct had her shifting away, but the tabletop bumped her lower back and kept her in place. Jarek didn’t touch her, just stood there, too close, waiting for something.

“Are you going to come over tonight?” “Do you want me to?” “Wrong question, dumb ass.” She didn’t sound angry, but she didn’t look back when she walked away, either. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

Fine? Fine?
He’d felt her come on his hand. He knew she hadn’t faked it. But he knew with just as much certainty that she hadn’t been messing with him when she’d said it either. She meant it. It was fine. He’d done a fine job.
His pride was hurt.

Not to be trite, but this is the best thing I’ve read all year.

How could I forget this author’s brilliance?

It wasn’t the best orgasm she’d ever had. She hadn’t seen stars or JFK’s face or anything, but she’d appreciated the feeling of a big, hard body next to hers, hands and words that wanted to make her feel good, no more, no less.
Exactly why I love Keyes' books so much. She doesn't need to rely on soul mates, insta-love and unrealistically mind-blowing first sexual encounters to create her love stories!

The hardships of trying a new romance author! Not sure if I like this book. The hero is a real jerk and not in a I-secretly-have-a-heart-of-gold kind of way. I feel really bad for the heroine, but she seems like a lousy teacher all in all.
