Status Updates From Have A Little Faith In Me

Finally back to present day!

Not bad! Similar-skipping through the flashbacks, but not all of it! Still, overall not a bad story!

Nearly 60% through this book and still no romance between the two main characters. So far it has been just background information. Not good.

I really don't know what to think so far. I am from the South. Georgia, just like Rocky. I live about an hour north of Marietta where his childhood took place. I have to say that it really is not realistic. Granted, there's tons of racism and prejudice towards gay rights, but you are not targeted as Race Traitors on a daily basis, etc. Marietta is right off Atlanta and is very progressive.

Oh my - finally we are back with Rocky in the here and now, were we already were some 18? chapters ago.

And still I'm reading Rocky's story and then Dex' story. When will they be together???

WTH happens now?! Suddenly Rocky's 6 years old?! Flashbacks out of nowhere :(

Isn't that funny? Never in any book I come across M.C. Escher, but now here are tattoos of his drawings in both books I'm reading back to back - Waiting for Clark and this one.

So far so good.

"...all people, of all men, to fall in love with and, shockingly, amazingly… miraculously, who loved him back." These two characters have spent an hour together. This book was 65% flashbacks/backstory leading up to them meeting. I'm annoyed tbh

I don't necessarily enjoy the the structure of this book. It starts with the main characters knowing each other and then there's literally over a hundred pages of backstory from before they knew each other. I wish it would start w the backstory tbh. Bc now I'm just waiting for it to be over bc I miss the characters interacting
