I'm LOVING this book! Cain has also completely and pleasantly surprised me as an MMC. So unique from the other MMCs we see in romantasy, and my heart hurts for him :( The dual POV voices are super distinct and the writing overall is beautiful. Took me about 20% in to REALLY get into it but only because the pacing was a bit slow at first because of some heavier worldbuilding upfront. But it's full speed ahead now!!
