Maybe I'm expecting too much from this type of book? Why are all the interesting scenes that would show character development not there? It just makes this novel ultra shallow.

So far this one is my least favorite. What's up with all the info dump? Every time a new character enters a scene is followed by a mini bio of said character. Who cares about the freaking bartender's history?
