Status Updates From Magnolia May: A Small-Town ...

DNF the pacing feels off on the dialogue and it doesn't feel like the two main characters are connecting, just reading their lines like they're in a bad movie, which is kind of ironic, given that this is a book about them filming a movie.

"Because this is all we have."

It wasn't a Pez moment (thank goodness) but made me tear up nonetheless. These characters are real to me.
