I wonder if this will go the poly/RH route in the future or remain Ry and Dane? Could go either way at this point. Hopefully there will be more chemistry between characters in the next book. I didn’t think there was much in this one.

How does a college hierarchy manage to subsume the human government? This needs more context.

The Vampire Court needs more background. All the members have a given name, court title, and various other titles. It got very confusing at one point as to who was who.

Either the comma confetti has calmed down, or I am able to read over them. Either way things finally got a bit more exciting.

Things are picking up now.

What’s with all the commas? Other forms of punctuation are available.

Still not sure where this book is going, luckily it’s quite easy to read (after the semicolon usage slowed down). Just not much happening yet, and the things that does happen are mostly just glossed over.

The usage of semicolons has gone down, which is good as it would have made me DNF if it had continued in the same excessive way. Those first chapters could really do with another editing round to clean up the sentence structure.

On chapter 3 and already quite annoyed with the excessive usage of semicolon in this book. First time I experience annoyance over such a thing, but they are in every other sentence. Sometimes even twice in the same sentence.
