Part 2 is WILD. I also feel conflicted emotions around The Matriarch. And Jayvin’s pov after turning feels like a whole new person in the best possible way - love how you can FEEL the Jayvin before, the Jayvin after, and how it melds into the Jayvin of Syndicate. 🖤

I am QUITE stressed. Also just as confused as Jayvin- you’re taking us on quite the mind duck, author. 😩

It’s been INCREDIBLY exciting to explore Jayvin’s origins. Tbh, this is a totally different and much darker tone than book 1. It’s all very bleak and chilling which feels intentional. Jayvin is so serious and the threat of the vampires feels oppressive. It’s wild to see this version of his life and demeanor.

Really into all the foreshadowing and lil Easter eggs for book 1. Def still 5 stars for me!

JUST finished book 1 and excited to dive into this origin story for Jayvin 💖
