About 2.5 hours of reading to go. Lots of short chapters packed with science. Really the main plot doesn't start until around 50%. We have aliens, although they're on earth and underwater in the near future. They don't seem to talk, at least not yet. Lots of near future commentary. I like the idea of open source fusion energy.
