Status Updates From Underspin

hm i’m gonna give this another chapter or so before deciding whether to quit, it’s very male and the characters are talking about themselves from the third-person at points…

you’re dropped into a world where the characters are fully actualised (as people and as friends), but not necessarily on the page as of yet🤷‍♂️

This reads as if the writer went 'ooh, this'll sound like I'm a real artist' before putting down each sentence, then didn't bother to read the sentences put together even a single time before submitting the manuscript - and then nobody else did either? Do books just not get edited at all, now?
Plus it's littered with poor grammar, like: 'She was making his hyperfocused expression, even more intense than his.'
