I do think Lara is strong, intelligent, independent, methodical and kind.
Ben is possessive and jealous. He takes his anger out on Lara with accusations. He doesn't trust her and that makes me laugh. He's a cheater and womanizer, Lara would do better to ditch him.

I'm debating whether or not I even want to finish this book. It's unnecessarily wordy, often boring me. And a huge turn off to me is a cheater. Ben is married. He likes picking women up in bars. He almost feels like a stalker when it comes to Lara.

oh geez, really? CIA HQ may be called Langley but its located in McLean, Va, not Langley AFB. THAT is a major error....lost another rating point.

If I wasn't 65% into it, I'd quit. As it is I'm skimming. It's like Clift Notes of several story lines. On the one hand she's logical & smart yet the conclusions and behavior indicate something quite the opposite.

"she reminded herself again, he was married . His pursuit of her was futile until he got a divorce."...... he's separated trying to finalize his divorce and if I read about her being warned by someone not to get involved until its finalized one more time, this book goes on my 'couldn't finish' shelf. We get it! Enough already!

I'm not sure I like the author's writing style. It's very impersonal and matter of fact. I feel like I'm reading an instruction manual.

Cracked on liberals twice so far and both were completely unnecessary, making no difference in the story... Getting tired of the chit who is uncomfortable around men, but stringing along multiple guys at the same time. Trying to stick it out.
