His pursuit of her was futile until he got a divorce."...... he's separated trying to finalize his divorce and if I read about her being warned by someone not to get involved until its finalized one more time, this book goes on my 'couldn't finish' shelf. We get it! Enough already!

If I wasn't 65% into it, I'd quit. As it is I'm skimming. It's like Clift Notes of several story lines. On the one hand she's logical & smart yet the conclusions and behavior indicate something quite the opposite.

I'm not sure I like the author's writing style. It's very impersonal and matter of fact. I feel like I'm reading an instruction manual.
