Predictable love story BUT I liked the setting, the dystopian fear of mermaids, the mystical music, the language, found it entertaining. Good short fast paced read. Good for in between long reads to change your literary palate. ☆☆☆

Halfway read and no conflict or action in the horizon. Have a feeling this will end with a cliffhanger since it's a series.

Needed a quick read so this YA got randomly picked. Intriguing story and setting. Haven't bonded with any character but the dude seemed fishy and bad from the get go. I'll keep reading.
