Status Updates From Prince of the Sun

For a book I found by chance on book tok? Pretty good
The Quinn and daerios duo is very cute, and I feel like I’m always pleased with an enemies to lovers trope, but I’m also curious as to how well the author does the world building now that we’ve entered the elven realm officially :p
Not a lot of book left so we’ll see how it ends too!

The “banter” sounds more like my middle school son whining about unloading the dishwasher.

FMC has the emotional maturity of a toddler. Random mood swings, tantrums, and digging her heals into worthless arguments.

So much second hand embarrassment. The dialog is cringy. Shallow and predictable.

The story progression is odd, but it’s an easy read, so it’s not hard to keep reading, but I’m finding that the secondary characters (the FMC and MMC’s friends) are proving to be much more interesting than the main characters…
