Listrum and Radish watched as the armored individual completed their journey, never hailing them, apparently focused on the challenging task of putting one boot in front of the other, until at last they arrived and came to a stop, swaying slightly on their heels.

Mister Treacle yowled and scampered away.

The abbot now had a very clear view of the objects bedecking their newly arrived visitor. He paled.

As the figure drew nearer, laboriously ascending the crude stairs of the stony approach, the abbot got a better look at them. The steel of their armor was indifferently burnished—bright in places, verdigris in others. Also, they seemed positively festooned with something that he at first identified as ornaments, or pendants—dozens of them slung around the flanged neck of the helm and bouncing on the breastplate.

Time for a change of pace-this Magic and Mystery collection looks fun!

I figured out who the murdered was pretty quickly but I love the reveal of who Miss Gentle is
