I bet Paul is a sweetheart, but dude you literally hit her with your car, practically forced her into it, took her to your house, and told her to change into your clothes??? SIR??? 💀 She doesn’t even know you. The complete lack of self-awareness is INSANE. 😭 But I’m having a great time reading it.😂

this isnt a compliment
just a pointed observation

the only parts of this book ill be taking away in the end
is “the man”
or this man
whatever

as well as most of the lucid dreaming technical talk

it def resonated with me
a bit nostalgic in mainly creepy ways

long story short

im rooting for this man.
dark hair green eyes.

these stupid mcs can all die alone and miserable pls.

i mustve skipped right over the descriptions of him

likely in one of the many droning inner monologues of the fmc ..??

ugh
so i finished this book the next morning from where i left off earlier

and its ruined my morning.

fuck you very much blake black.

this authors books ive read are next in line to get deleted from my digital library and files

so i can get back the phone storage space.

i kind of hate when authors add a drawing of their mcs at the end of the book

this one is of the mcs

i was practically bashed over the head repeatedly with how often the fmc was described
with her stupid insecurities about her body and style
so it pissed me off to see it for some reason

and only just now realizing that the psychiatrist mmc paul is black.

… ???

so i cant even blame the fmc
bc its all on this author

and i wont forgive it if later it turns out the pendant necklace is a special rock or some shit that just conveniently has excuses for this atrocious writing.

and before this
the supposed climax of the book is the mmcs drama with her

this, this kind of shit writing is what gives reverse harem a bad rep imo
when authors make shit with the genre.

my digital book of this says im at 99%
and i just read some shit thats made me decide to put this book on my utter shit shelf, immediately after i finish reading.

this stupid fucking author-wrote this stupid fucking fmc,

she took off the necklace and put it in her pocket
then she’s dreaming a few paragraphs later and she can feel the necklace warm on her neck

jfc 😑

the fucking inconsistencies.

i think im really only here for the lucid dreaming stuff

as well as finding out wtf this tessa bitch got herself into with this creepazoid nightmare loser that prob took her

jfc
i just hate being in the headspace of this fmc
reading it in her voice
her dialogue and her behavior

😒

^so not only is it a fucking mess to read

it takes me right out of the story bc i have to reorient myself where i am and where the character is in the story

i get it
its the plot
and obv all these ppl are connected but dont know it yet

its just not done well

i find myself constantly thinking of other things, going off on other mental tangents out of boredom

hahahahhaa

man this writing is shit.

the jokes clearly on me bc my dumbass is still reading the shit

its very ai adjacent
im pretty sure i said the same thing in other books by this author

as well as confusing

the mmcs were introduced
randomly
we just jump into their povs for the first time with little to no set up or context

just a word vomit of expositions and inner monologues
from all of them.

i hate reading this kind of shit

when the fmc is sad or feeling shit bc of her shitty ex and shitty friends

like fucking obviously those shitheads should be drawn and quartered and shoved off the plank into shark infested waters

but we dont get that
we get the fmc being a masochist for no god damned reason

bc she needs reminders???

there’s not enough scorched earth rn.

im skim reading at this point

way to ruin one of my favorite topics

lucid dreaming

the reason this blurb got my interest

the execution is abysmal so far and i truly see a dark road ahead for the duet

almost five hundred pages here and prob the same for book two
fml

what was i saying

i have no fucking sympathy for dumbass ppl behind the wheel driving recklessly
idc if this author then writes the character to be self aware of how shit she’s behaving

you shouldnt have done it in the first place
irl

and in the scene
it just builds up the mc as someone i cannot and wont root for

and im only a few pages into this shit

i paused
bc she’s going into another monologue to a stranger

in the way that this is written i mean
to give the fmc a backstory and excuse to keep on blabbing her life story to this stranger who could either be a future love interest or serial killer

thats after the fact the bitch was recklessly driving on the road hald asleep

this author keeps writing her fmc to have all these excuses
prob to make the reader empathize or sympathize

i dont.

the authors note at the start was ok
usually authors notes at the start and or end are fucking shit and bs

but this was whatever
i dont even recall what it was about
so thats the double sided coin with this author is the point im trying to make

nothing i read from them is remarkable or standout
but what i do remember is it was shit writing and storytelling

here its constant expositions and woe is me

welp
i remember why i didnt like this author
and why their writing is so bad as to be unmemorable

except i do remember

i remember the rh series with the techy plot
something about fish
idr if its the same one as the one where the fmc was abducted and tortured with the shitty story
and i think this is the same author with the bike story

the writing in them i dont recall
just that theyre shit
