just a pointed observation

the only parts of this book ill be taking away in the end
is “the man”
or this man
whatever

as well as most of the lucid dreaming technical talk

it def resonated with me
a bit nostalgic in mainly creepy ways

long story short

im rooting for this man.
dark hair green eyes.

these stupid mcs can all die alone and miserable pls.

i mustve skipped right over the descriptions of him

likely in one of the many droning inner monologues of the fmc ..??

so i finished this book the next morning from where i left off earlier

and its ruined my morning.

fuck you very much blake black.

this authors books ive read are next in line to get deleted from my digital library and files

so i can get back the phone storage space.

i kind of hate when authors add a drawing of their mcs at the end of the book

this one is of the mcs

i was practically bashed over the head repeatedly with how often the fmc was described
with her stupid insecurities about her body and style
so it pissed me off to see it for some reason

and only just now realizing that the psychiatrist mmc paul is black.

… ???

so i cant even blame the fmc
bc its all on this author

and i wont forgive it if later it turns out the pendant necklace is a special rock or some shit that just conveniently has excuses for this atrocious writing.

and before this
the supposed climax of the book is the mmcs drama with her

this, this kind of shit writing is what gives reverse harem a bad rep imo
when authors make shit with the genre.

my digital book of this says im at 99%
and i just read some shit thats made me decide to put this book on my utter shit shelf, immediately after i finish reading.

this stupid fucking author-wrote this stupid fucking fmc,

she took off the necklace and put it in her pocket
then she’s dreaming a few paragraphs later and she can feel the necklace warm on her neck

the fucking inconsistencies.

i think im really only here for the lucid dreaming stuff

as well as finding out wtf this tessa bitch got herself into with this creepazoid nightmare loser that prob took her

it takes me right out of the story bc i have to reorient myself where i am and where the character is in the story

its the plot
and obv all these ppl are connected but dont know it yet

its just not done well

i find myself constantly thinking of other things, going off on other mental tangents out of boredom

the jokes clearly on me bc my dumbass is still reading the shit

im pretty sure i said the same thing in other books by this author

as well as confusing

the mmcs were introduced
randomly
we just jump into their povs for the first time with little to no set up or context

just a word vomit of expositions and inner monologues
from all of them.

im skim reading at this point

the reason this blurb got my interest

the execution is abysmal so far and i truly see a dark road ahead for the duet

almost five hundred pages here and prob the same for book two
