Status Updates From The Prospect of Wings

It's good to watch the emotional progression of the book as it goes on.

This does get pretty raw at times.

"And our pockets are empty/except for our hands,//And our minds are drowning/In far-off lands,//And our ears are ringing/From echoing bands,//And somehow, we'll never go home."

My mind is echoing with rhythm first, then following meaning. The poet is in tune with how his words would sound when performed aloud, and at times that has power.

I was over the moon when this came in the mail yesterday. I'm taking it in small bites, though - I don't want to just consume, I want to understand what I'm seeing.
