It is heart breaking to be alive and watch as the Church allows itself to degrade and at the same time to watch how this backward movement into the shadows is enabling the forces of darkness to take more ground every day. Mohler makes a great point near the end of the first chapter. There are innumerable churches with faithful people still in them declining, but they lack a pastor and leader with vision and drive.
