Status Updates From The Complete Sherlock Holme...

The Adventure of the Veiled Lodger - I think this may rank among my favorite of the Holmes stories. A true horror tale, set outside the bounds of Holmes' usual city, in the realm of circus folk, grisly revenge, and evil men. The story is straightforward, but the interaction at the end between Ronder and Holmes is a truly touching one, and the best evidence yet for Holmes not being a cold man, but a caring one. 5*

Best reading on a long car journey using Audible!

The Adventure of the Lion's Mane - Notable for being another of the stories not written by Watson, instead narrated by Holmes himself. Unfortunately, figured this one out way ahead of time, having been acquainted with the term beforehand, it's still a fun read to watch Holmes spend his retirement. Close to a "cozy murder" as they like to put it, with a cast of characters. Imagining Holmes retired is great. 3 stars
