that was alright. I liked the idea of a school setting for superheroes (crucible) but I wish it was longer and more focused on the school thing but oh well. And I thought Tsavo being the preceptor for the meantime was a strange choice since they all think Maxima is basically the tracher’s pet and Tsavo is someone who’s more emotional rather than logical but that just me I guess.

Notes:
(1) Supergirl going to a kind of superhero Hogwarts is a decent idea on paper. Too bad it's so paint-by-numbers and bland.
(2) I really enjoy Emanuela Lupacchino's art. She's like if Terry Dodson still did interior art for mainstream comics, and not just covers.
(3) Best part of this arc so far is Kara working as a barista and screwing up.

Notes:
(1) Ugh, Kara's boyfriend's so boring! I so want to slap some personality into his boring face.
(2) Kara's hair is long one issue, then short, then long again. Editorial, get it together!
(3) When did Red Hood gain super strength and fight Supergirl on Warworld? So confused.
(4) I totally ship Kara and Jason. They can be angsty together :)

Movie poster homage: The Wizard of Oz (left), Supergirl #40 (right)
Notes:
(1) Last volume was technically a complete arc, but was caught in the crossfire of at least two events and three crossovers. A sad fate for all Superman family titles.
(2) I don't expect much from this book. I mean, it wasn't just cancelled after this for no reason.
