Damn, I thought he was just going to loom there for a while and watch and be angry, then the next chapter would be something else... but he went in right away? That's pretty rash. Led to bad things for him too.

Nah, this is kind of the opposite problem: if it's background characters I won't care, if it's the main character I won't buy it.

I'm talking about this a lot...

The title of this volume promises a lot... and I guess this is a good start for that. I'm going to wait until someone I actually care about dies, though.

I would agree with the author about the heavy-handedness of that scene and how it really doesn't fit with the tone of the rest of the comic... except for the fact that it happened to some side-characters that I never cared all that much about to begin with. That rather dulls the edge.

Try and do the same thing to Eve's parents and then we're talking.
