Status Updates From Empire Builders (The Grand ...

Plodding along, and trying to figure out HOW the "Elon Musk" dude of this alternate history is going to get out of the predicament that he's in.

I'm not really "rooting" for him, for I know that he's a douche, but he is the main character of this story, at the moment.

I do hope that in the near future we follow someone LESS loathsome. Just saying.

Knowing what we know of our own reality, and now reading this ficticious reality...it is interesting how accurate in one sense, but how absolutely bonkers it is...too.

As a reader, we want Dan to succeed, but he's a letch...and I do NOT like how he treats people, especially women (tools and pawns in his life). Yuck!

Picks up after Privateers. Some years have occurred, and changes have happened because of what happened at the end of the previous book.

Our protagonist is (IMO), still a jerk...and his life is proceeding as I thought it would.

The world is now having to deal with the Green House Effect.

Also, a sinister plot has been enacted. Interesting to see how it pans out.
