OMG! Liking the characters so far, but the former educator in me is cringing as I read these sentences. You don’t need “had” before every other verb.

“I had turned.”
“She had plastered.”
“She had scrambled.”
“I had grabbed.”
“I had rolled.”
“She had tried to paw at my chest.”

Casey thinks sexy Thad is married and STILL allows him to kiss her, and finger her before she stops him because she refuses to have anything to do with a man who is married? Wtf.....

Yuck.

Typical misunderstandings right from the beginning... I think this is one of the things I come to expect with these romance novels.
