Status Updates From 進撃の巨人 1 [Shingeki no Kyojin 1]

The amount of aura this panel has…so peak they had to utilize 2 entire pages.

Eren saying that Armin choosing to join the survey corps is “Making an inefficient choice that disregards his strengths.” And that it isn’t courageous…I believe in you Armin 😔✊ also wtf that’s literally the most courageous choice he could’ve made????

why am i subjecting myself to this? the anime ended me. perhaps i am a masochist

“I’m gonna destroy them. Every last one…of those animals…that’s on this earth.” The level of foreshadowing that these lines possess

“It doesn’t matter what anyone says. There’s no holding back an inquisitive mind.” Literally just Eren’s character throughout the entire manga

Eren and Mikasa seeing the survey corps come back all battered and bruised, only 20 survivors making it back, and then Braun’s mother getting a piece of her son’s uniform and saying “But…my son…was useful to you wasn’t he?” Really hammers home the fallout of war. A theme that’ll be constant throughout the series.

“When did your hair get so long Mikasa?” Absolute pain from the get go
