Status Updates From Miscegenist Sabishii

The fact that Tony, a Japanese guy, grew up around Black folks, and integrated into the community, does not make him Black. I'm only into the book 7% and I'm already sick of the number of times he has called himself. Black or other characters have called him black. He is not Black! This is going to get old for me very quickly and I might not be able to finish it. It's actually offensive.

I'm in love with this story, I truly am but it's still hard to overlook the editing :( Pepper Pace is still one of my favorites.

The story is really good.

First of all, good story. I like Tony and Nikki. The editing issues are getting a little bit better. The part I'm reading has so many exclamation points that I just started cracking up. It's like I'm being yelled at, and it's just the internal dialogue.

The story is so good that I'm not noticing the mistakes so much. I did cringe a little at the use of breaks instead of brakes, but I'll live through it.

Do I love the story? Absolutely, the characters are well-rounded, and funny and they are unlikely as a couple, which I love, but the editing issues in this are distracting. Missing words, the wrong word, etcetera etcetera. I'm hoping these lessen later in the book.

Finding Pepper Pace's titles to be a bit like the bag of sea salt and dark chocolate almonds I just had to hide from myself so I wouldn't scarf it all down at once.

Long holiday weekend filled with nothing but reading! I am excited about this one because I love Pepper Pace!

Fast paced story so far, but an enjoyable read so far. I have to say the sex scene they had so far was hot!
