“Bee,” he says it in a low voice, leaning toward me, his glass raised to his lips. “If you think it’s your sass that’s overwhelming, you haven’t looked in the mirror.”

Pretty funny so far, but I find the romance itself unconvincing. Also, the characters are supposed to be American, but it's obvious from the dialogue that the author is British, so that's quite distracting. The jury is still out.
