OMG! He actually said "Prepare for boarding." before kissing her. That is so tacky.

It was all going along pretty nicely, I was actually starting to think my friends had misjudged this and I was feeling guilty for almost letting their ratings colour my own view, but then he starts to guilt-trip her into kissing him or else he won't let the village use his donkey for the nativity play. Btw, they met only an hour earlier. Maybe the other reviews weren't so far off, after all : /

I'm not feeling particularly enthusiastic about this one (bad friends' reviews), but it's this month's pick for the group read plus it's a Christmas book so it fits a challenge category, and it's the perfect book to read while more than half of my attention's on the Boxing Day test on the tv, so I'll do my best to read it while I watch.
