Status Updates From The Keening (Remnants, #1)

The story follows the McLean family as they are uprooted from their rural home and forced to move to Glasgow during the 1800's. However living in the city does not agree with them and they are about to head to Canada for a hopeful return to rural living and a better future.

Tough chapter read. I was so engrossed when I finally got my breath I was surprised by how real what I was reading felt.

Author is BookTuber Margaret Pinard. I enjoyed the first book by her (The title escapes me.).
