Favorite book I have read in a long, long time. Reminded me that I have to get back into reading actually good books. I love reading translated english in general, but it’s kind of nuts how much I am in love with this so far

I do not think I enjoy reading Baudrillard, and I certainly find it tough. In the introduction Geoff Dyer writes “to take issue with Budrillard’s ‘intellectual imperialism’ … is to risk seeming a bit of a dullard”. I think I am then a dullard. It’s all a bit too much sex-crazed nonsense for me: truly what does “the orgasmic form of bodily deterritorialization” mean.
