Reflections on Ch 1: the telling of the Sky Woman story was beautiful—I had heard the main narrative before but not so many details and not the story of what happens after Turtle Island is formed. The voice of the conclusion is resilient

"The way we named plants referred to their appearance, their smell, their feel, and their use. Plants have different names in the spring, summer, and fall. (woman, 1999)"
I love that they have different names in different seasons. It seems so sensible??
