Pebble Heart has special dreams and Gray Wing notes that he might have the same abilities as Stoneteller. Moon Shadow dies from his burns and he is buried out on the moor. Owl Eyes sneaks off to go hunting.

Gray Wing has an asthma attack while teaching Turtle Tail’s kits how to hunt, he accidentally shoves one of them in panic. Turtle Tail talks to Gray Wing about it and they come to an understanding.

Gray Wing struggles with his asthma and he’s insecure about loosing his leadership position to Wind Runner.

Clear Sky is a narcissistic abuser to his son and I can’t wait to write a whole essay about it in my review on this book. The portrayal of it is incredibly realistic and I’d like to see how they conclude it.

Clear Sky brings Thunder on a patrol with Leaf who thinks Clear Sky is trying to make Thunder his heir. Thunder insists that’s not the case but leaf doesn’t believe him.

Wind and Gorse save Jagged Peak’s life by digging him up from the tunnel. They want to join the group but Tall Shadow is hesitant.

Thunder saves Jagged Peak from the dogs, and shoves him down a rabbit burrow. The rabbit burrow then collapses in on itself.

Thunder left with Shattered Ice to go hunting and Jagged Peak left for somewhere.
