i was really enjoying all the assassin/agency aspects and was excited for the love interest to be introduced but i have to say, the insta-love is a liiiiittle too much for me

And just like that a young man calls the shots? The assassin, his handler and his assistant all fall into line? Not very believable.

Still going.........I don't believe in Sammy's state of mind though.

Female baddies make a nice change.

This is sailing very close to my only hard limits (children and in this case dogs) so why am I not more bothered than I am? Good question. I'm not really sure, maybe it's the writing, maybe it's the characterisation, maybe it's the first person narrative. I think it's all of them. Perhaps. Maybe. * huffs*

Ooops, pg 203 - huge plot hole: "You have been the
only bright spot in my life since…well, since my sister. After she died, I knew
I could never again let someone in, because when they left it hurt too much." - he only learned about his sister AFTER Sammy came to stay!!!

Just finished Ch 15, and had a couple of WTF moments. OK 2nd time they've had sex, but only a spit f*cking??? Nope. And Sammy as a Dom??? Nope. Not working, oh dear.

I LOVED the start of this. I'm enjoying the second bit... but it's like they are two different styles of story. I'll see how it goes from here.
