You know, of all the UF books I've read that have at some point been compared to the Dresden Files, this set is the only one that I think bears the comparison. Jesse is every bit as snarky as Harry, and while the world isn't quite as richly imagined, it still has some great B-characters. I'll be sad when I've finished the last book in the set

Damn, I'd forgotten how much I love the writing in this series. It's the combination of snark with actualfax self-awareness and insight - gets me every time.
