What a silly ultimatum, what a silly "challenge" - I am all for taking the tops down a peg but I fail to see the logic behind it.

It's all or nothing with these guys (this series) - the relationship is either going great or they're... in conflict/someone is angry, a constant swinging between happiness and hurt, it's enough to give on whiplash and my preference for mature characters dealing with things like audlts is seriously protesting.

You know, I don't think I ever read (well, listened to) a more "negative" representation of BDSM. Not only is Sin being a dom a problem(atic) at the start, he slowly gives up things, there are several negative experiences connected to the community and this final conflict? Using toys for this?? Now rejecting... I am no kinkster but I can't see this in an entirely positive light.

OMgoodness, I just got mild anxiety when he said he's going to make a phone call and I am going to have to listen to it, bless my heart 😶😅😏🫤.

So Sin realises why and how he made a mistake and a moment later, he calls Ben's justified (he just justified it to them) reaction a funk. I feel so silly getting so drawn into this angsty drama I am nitpicking their sentences.

So, asking questions about Gabriel - he didn't trust Ben = Sin effed up.
Ben agreeing to a plan and being angry at them for flirting. Both of them in the wrong?? Why?
Help me understand this.

Third act break-up? Already? Probably a set-up to deal with the murder part of the story.

You know, I think I get it - yes, these characters like to eff up but they also like to fess up and take accountability and that second part is rare enough I can be understanding. I feel like I want to understand instead of judge.

Is it like, extra preparation for the readers? Don't think their story finished, there's still a third guy to this relationship?? I don't need the reminder but then, I don't mind it either. Guess this is to let us know the pack won't be too suprised when it happens.

I get it!!! It was the ring, wasn't it?? That prevented... hm... maybe the mystery aspect in this book IS going to be better.

It's twists like these that make me keep going, good job.

A dominant is not always my favourite but there's something about someone becoming dominant to cope with trauma and using it to hide his insecurities that really makes for a poor character, even a fictional one. When he feels the need to prove himself and because it's from trauma, he will never feel fully secure in himself or his feelings/position. Sigh.

There's this device in art called "foreshadowing", I am sure many of you have heard of it. Well, some books don't do foreshadowing - some just take a big bad hammer and smack you in the head with something even a blind person could use to predict what will happen next. Like with exposition - some books drop hints and info at the right time and some just info dump and make silly conversations. This book... yeah...

Ben is so freaking dense!

The writing is really immature.

The writing is really immature. It is annoying. but the story is somewhat entertaining.

It started OK, but than all of the sudden the writing changed to condense boring info dump, a lot of telling and absolutely no showing.
