It's so funny how Abby's and Dane's conflict is resolved off screen in one summarizing sentence. "So, I told her everything."
And she immediately believes him and they are 100% cool again.
The book doesn't even bother to show their emotions or the hard journey in resolving this conflict. It felt sterile. Why setup this conflict when you don't want to earn the payoff at the resolution?
