I would add that it would apply to a good translation.

..it does seem so hard to define things precisely because what’s most obvious is impossible to define. To define is to employ words and they can be less expressive than what is being defined.. How can you define the taste of coffee or the appealing sadness of twilight or that hope, doubtless an illusion, that one feels at the morning?

شاید نویسنده بعد از سنی که از او گذشت،باید خود را تکرار کند.بنابرنظر چسترتن،هر نویسنده ،در نهایت تبدیل به بهترین مقلدِ خود به خود می‌شود.

بورخس:
مشخص است که سرنوشتم ادبی‌ست.چون خواندن به نوشتن منتهی می‌شود یا بنا بر گفتهٔ امرسون «شعر از شعر زاده می‌شود»

هشتمین سرود اودیسه: «خداوند بدبختی را به انسان‌ها بخشید تا آوازی برای سر دادن داشته باشند »
