Um, do they not have chandeliers in Iowa? Even the most simple chandelier hangs over dining room tables or in the foyer, or can be found in historic lobbies the world over. Thankfully our heroine knows what a TV is. That's good.

I'm kinda sick of hearing about her being a small town girl from Iowa trying to make it in the big city. I get it! You want to start your career. Stop mentioning it every other page!

It's amazing how women are labeled as bitches when they reject marriage proposals and are focused on their own life goals. The author has my kudos so far with having a character with a backbone. Let's hope she doesn't lose it.
