Status Updates From Wolf, en Garde (Wolf #2)

The way this author writes the shift from human to wolf is so unattractive. What is with the chunks of skin, teeth and hair left behind after the shift? So what? They regrow these every time they shift back? Just so unsexy.

Wow, what a difference from the first book. A lot of the mysteries and flaws from the first book were addressed up front, and in a most satisfactory manner. Now, though, we have a problem. Neither of the main characters are particularly sympathetic, and even more than a little bit annoying. It'll be interesting to see how this develops.

This is much slower than the first book

I wonder where all this is going? Why do I have a feeling I'm not going to care for a certain someone's unmentioned talents?
