Status Updates From In the House of Mirrors

How many pages does it take to describe a raccoon dragging a severed arm across a parking lot? And is this what we want to focus on, when meanwhile, across town, there is some kind of portal to hell waiting to be opened?

For once, I would love to find an author who understands how health care systems work. No, you can’t call a hospital looking for someone who works there, and have a nurse search through charts and say, “But we do have an emergency contact for one of our patients with that name!” That’s NOT how anything works!
