I first learned of the health benefits of low iron-ferritin levels from Tim Ferriss's '4-Hour Body', but dismissed it due to suspicion of the author. Then, one week ago, David Sinclair mentioned the connection in his new podcast. His authority prompted me to read this book. Reading it made me book an appointment to donate blood the very next day. The evidence that iron levels increase mortality seems very strong.
