Status Updates From Outrun the Moon

i’m loving all of the scenes after the earthquake. there’s so much motion in the plot driven by chaos and survival instincts (or lack thereof). the city of sanfran is in complete shambles and it makes me curious about the history of the city and i wanna look into pics from the real earthquake to the the aftermath and rebuilding of industrialization.

“Where do I belong now? Maybe this is what it feels like to be a hungry ghost, caught in both worlds, trapped in ambivalence” (204).

i’m always proud whenever i do a good job annotating. i underlined a lot during my reading session today and it made me happy to feel as though i find intelligent thoughts and lines and keep them safe for later.

i’m enjoying the characters’ depth at the school. there’s a few girls that actually wanna talk and meet her outside of the drama. she had to put on a show of a tea ceremony which was funny. i’m keeping my eye on antagonists and different elements that may relate to the twist of the book! fav quote from session: “You cannot control the wind, but you can control your sails” (103).
