OK, I have to admit this is getting mildly creepy.
Rudy, why do u have to be a petty idiot and troll on the internet when you clearly know that it's a terrible idea and Elliott is creepy af and it's 2 am and I think I need to go to sleep.

I wonder if all of Darien Cox’s books end this abruptly. I’ve only read 2, but found both of the endings to be a bit like expecting the road to go on for another half a mile, but suddenly realizing you’re at the end already instead.
Didn’t love this one quite as much as Tempting Fools, but still a strong read. I like how the paranormal elements minimize the relationship drama plot fodder

Still enjoying this, but clicking less with the scifi/alien plot as that becomes more of the focus.

It is somehow 6am and I am forcing myself to pause and get some sleep. Who would have thought I’d find a small town sci-fi-with-aliens romances this engrossing

“Come on! I’m not a vampire.”
“Nah, more like a mosquito. An annoying little bloodsucker that needs to be squashed.”
“Look.” Rudy held his hands up. “Let me come in so we can talk properly. I’ll make some notes, and you can insult me all you want.”

It's a good book, interesting and well written, but I have to say that I HATE when MCs make impulsive and stupid decisions when they have been warned. I'm going to have to suppress my normal frustrated reaction and get through this next part. I'm going in.

Why does this seem M. Night Shyamalan-y to me?

At the beginning I thought this was an m/f romance, where they had just changed the f by an m, Rudy. Now I think Rudy, the main character, is mentally about 12 years old. Disturbing in light of the hot sex he's been having. That guy isn't just too stupid to live, but too stupid to have been born. I hope he has some redeeming qualities in the second half of the book.
