Everything about this story so far has me hooked: Kellan being on a rescue team and a police officer who hasn’t been in love yet, to the way he meets Stuart and cares for him (tears for real!), the way Stuart talks to Kellan about the love of his life and chooses him to take care of him and then carefree, full of life Blue with the big, adoring family…I’m thrilled to be reading this book…

Their math is a bit wonky. So 7.5 is not much bigger than 5. It's 50% increase, but ok.
And while 7.5 is slightly above average, 8 is monster-sized apparently.
I know they just try to make Blue feel better, but he's not an idiot.

The story feels a bit clashing sometimes, Blue's loud, crass everyday family life with the death and funeral stuff. But it certainly keeps the book from being too dreary.
